Chania - Apokoronas - KRIONERIDA
The municipality of Krionerida consists of the communities of Alikambos, Vatoudiaris, Vrisses, Vafes, Embrosneros, Maza, Nippos, Chabatha and Fones.
Vrysses, a village full of vegetation and the waters of the Vrysanos river, is a communications centre, very well-known for its delicious yoghurt and honey.
In Embrosneros, a village as green as Vryses, you can visit the renovated tower of Imbrahim Alidakis and the church of Agios Antonios.
In Vafes there is the gorge and the cave of Krionerida where the Turks burned almost 130 women and children. The historical folklore museum of the village is rather interesting as well.
In Maza you can see the bridge "Elliniki Kamara" dated back to the Greek-Roman years and the Byzantine church of Agios Nikolaos with its murals.
Finally in Chabatha you can visit the temple of Agios Georgios and in Alikambos the temple of the Virgin Mary.
