This beautiful stone house for sale is located at the edge of the village, and within walking distance to the village centre. The village is situated approx. 4 km to the east of Vamos. It is a large village built in an outstanding position facing the sea with architecture dominated by the influence of the early and late years of the Turkish occupation. This influence is well preserved despite the existence of other architectural styles. The village is living the whole year around and kafenia, taverns and supermarkets can be found there. A small drive away, one will reach Embrogialos, a small nice bay of turquoise water and in the other direction are the long sandy beaches of Georgioupolis.

Entering the house into a spacious living / dining area from where one can reach a big tiled terrace enjoying sea views. The kitchen is in opposite of the big stone arch and fitted with wooden handmade kitchen units. Further on is the Master bedroom with air-condition, en-suite bathroom and access to the terrace, another bedroom with air-condition and exit to the terrace, one bathroom with walk-in shower, and a storage space of 1,5x2,5m.

The huge basement contains a garage with roller shutters and a big space which can be used as workshop, gym etc., and in the garden area an irrigation system all around is in place.

The doors and windows are of high quality cypress wood, and the windows are double glazed and fitted with shutters. Throughout the house wooden ceilings partly with beams, and solar panels, water tank (1.500l) are available.

Chania - Apokoronas - VAMOS
Chania - Apokoronas - VAMOS
The municipality of Vamos, the capital town of which bears the same name (communities of Vamos and Douliana), consists of the former districts of Gavalohori (Gavalohori, Agios Pavlos, Koprana, Agios Vasilios), Plaka (Plaka, Almirida, Kabia), Kokino Horio, Kaina, Kefala (Kefalas, Paleloni, Drapanos), Xerosternio (Xerosterni, Litsarda), Selia (Selia, Souri, Likotinara), Kalamitsi Alexandrou. It is a semi-mountainous area with interesting natural surroundings, dominated by local woody (oak, holm-oak, cypress, wild almond, carob, laurel and pear trees) or bushy (hairy thorny brooms, cretan sage, herbs etc.) flora and architectural heritage. Small villages, most of which are old, are spread throughout the area, which is characterised by a lack of water and limited agricultural productivity. While this lack of resources resulted in a severe reduction of the population it did not have any effect on the architectural character or the natural surroundings of the region until recently. This is the main reason why a lot of foreigners buy old houses or land and settle here. The biggest part of the steep, rocky coastline has preserved its natural wild beauty and is proposed to become a protected area under the Natura 2000 Environmental Management Program.
