The village is easily accessible from the main road, while tavernas, bakeries & super-markets are close by.
One of the three Byzantine castles within the prefecture of Chania is located there, wonderfully preserved, and has been identified by the Greek Archaeological Service as a historic treasure of great importance, together with three Byzantine churches, ornamented with frescos of great artistic value.
